Dear Colleagues,
As the representatives of the COST Action PROGRAMMING CA21122, we would like to invite you to collaborate with us in developing a better future for older adults.
PROGRAMMING CA21122 primarily focuses on the education and training of non-specialist healthcare professionals in the fundamental principles of Geriatric Medicine, especially in countries with less developed healthcare systems and structures. Our goal is to create a set to tools to ensure that everyone involved in the care of older adults feels comfortable addressing the common needs and issues that arise in this demographic.
To this end, we look back at what we have achieved over the past year as we approach our first anniversary. We have engaged over 280 participants from 40 countries and are continuing to grow as we spread the message of our Action through dissemination events and meetings both virtual and hybrid. We hope to engage scientific activity, having funded 26 grants to Action Members!

Last year, we launched a multilingual web-based survey aimed at gathering information about the educational interests and needs of current and future healthcare professionals involved in older adult care. This was a key step towards collecting standardized data from a diverse range of stakeholders as we aspire to provide a comprehensive European overview, highlighting variations in educational interests and needs within the field of care for older adults.
